The Poor Mans Picasso-REAL POOR

You know how at Fairs and "real touristy places" there are those artist that paint or sketch pictures of you for a small fee. Well today at Venice, there was one of these "artists" and yes I use that term loosely. We found out he wasn't that good but only once they were in the chair. He kept saying I think this is the best one I have ever done well if that was the best I would hate to see the worst or even an average one.
Well 'nough said you be the judge.

A Softy or is it Softie

Mackenzie's Mom kept saying, "when I am at the beach I always feel like a softy"(I kept hearing this term but didn't know what a softy was) I finally figured out that a softy was an ice cream cone, and to be more exact a soft serve cone, IE a softy.
I am pleased to announce that she got her softy.

Happy Leap Year

Just some hotties we ran into at the beach

Mackenzie and her Parents

Mackenzie at her work

February 29th only comes around once every 4 years, and as such Mackenzie's Parents decided to come and visit us in California for the weekend. Today we both took the day off we went for a long walk on the beach, well the strand that lines the sand. It was a nice long walk and good to get some exercise. We then headed up to LA, went to Venice Beach, and cruised around the city. We went up to Cedars Sinai Hospital and showed the parentals where our baby will soon be born. Then Mackenzie's work, Korean town and drove home through South Central. After Much debate Mediterranean was selected as our dinner so we ate at Al Hamra. It is really good, Hummus, Kabob's and Gyro's etc. Rite Aid pulled through with the ice cream cones, the price has gone up though from 99 cents up to 119 cents.
It is always fun having people in town and showing them around our little town and up in the city.

YAY!! we are going to Vegas.

Johnathan, just found out today that he was offically the number 1 sales rep in the country last year. So he won the PAC(Presidents Advisory Council)Trip. They take the top 10 reps in each division. It's a four day all exspenses paid trip to the Wynn resort in Vegas. That means we get Spa treatments, shows, golf anything you want. He is really excited and me too. I'm already planning my days, Pregnancy massages, facials, mani's pedi's etc. It is in April in 6 weeks I can't wait. It will be a nice break from work and LA for a few days. I am really proud of Johnathan he works really hard and I know that it can be a really stressful job sometimes, but he enjoys it and its nice to see him do well.

Baby Clothes

Over the past few weeks we have been guilty of purchasing some clothes for the little guy. It seems like every clothing store we go to we at least look at the baby section and then once there its bad news. I have too ahve mad a few choices but Mackenzie has been cut off from buying any thing else, she has even bought the same outfit in 2 different sizes just so he can wear it for like a year straight. They are really cut though, after yesterdays showing at the Old Navy 40% off sale we had to say enough is enough. This is just a sample of the babies clothes thus far.
Please don't feel like we don't need any clothes now we'll take everything we can get. So If you find anything don't be shy it buy it. We have have just stopped buying, at least until after the baby showers.
Yesterday Mackenzie also bought her first maternity clothes, no pictures of those though, sorry.

Ikea

We haven't been to Ikea for a while. So we thought maybe we should spend an exciting night at Ikea. Now as many of you know especially if you shop at Ikea, it is quite the ordeal. Its set up in such a way that the rooms that are set up and designed look great all put together but, when you walk around the store trying to find something that you saw displayed it is impossible to find it. We did find a cool new lamp shade velvet, adds a little pizzaz to our tiny living room.
And we bought a little bed side table for Mackenzie's side of the bed. Everthing that you buy at Ikea(well the furniture) you have to build yourself so when we got home it took a few minutes to screw together but it actually looks pretty cool and now holds the books and odds and ends that were stacked in the corner of the room.

5 Months and counting.

This is the 5 month picture. We are both really excited and also very nervous-Mackenzie may be a little more nervous than me but I have it easy. She has been feeling great, and pretty much doing everything as normal, we are still working out and since the weather has warmed up this last week we have been jogging on the "strand" on the beach. The baby has started moving alot and I have felt him move a couple of times. We can't wait to see what the little guy looks like.
