Happy Easter
I was working in Tucson yesterday and came home to a fresh batch of Easter Sugar Cookies, and Birds Nests. Two of Mackenzie's favorite treats to make, so much so, she makes them even when it's not Easter. They are really easy to make, taste great, and I recommend you try making them. I was told we could share one of each, the rest were for Mackenzie's CTR 7 class and my Home Teaching Families. The recipes will follow try, making them, they are delicious!!

Bird's Nests
1 bag of chocolate chips
1 bag of shredded coconut
1 1/2 bag of cadbury's robins eggs(you can do whatever you want with the other half of the bag)
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, add the coconut, mix till it starts to harden. Form about 20 "nests" out of the coconut chocolate mixture. Place them on a cookie sheet with wax paper on it. Then put 3 robin's eggs in the middle of each nest.
The Easiest Cookie Recipe
1 Box Cake Mix(we prefer the confetti cakes or chocolate)
Make the recipe for the cake on the box but omit the water and one egg, and use only 1/3 cup of oil.
Bake on a cookie sheet, bake for 16-18 minutes, should make at least 18-20 cookies.

The Car Seat has been Chosen.

We bought our Car Seat this last weekend. It is green, due to St. Patricks. It is really ligfht and got good safety ratings which I guess are the two most important things when selecting a car seat. It will carry up to a 22 lbs baby so we'll have to get another one for after about 12-15 months. We also know which stroller we are getting, the Quinny Buzz, they are super cool really lightweight and very, very compact and easy to fold up. They "take" our car seat and then it has a seat that you can use for a child up to 40 lbs, or about 3-4 yrs. You can check out our new purchase if you want right here and our future sroller here it's the Buzz.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACKENZIE

Everyone join with me in wishing Mackenzie a Happy Birthday. She is 24 big ones today. We had a dessert night tonight to begin her birthday celebration, at our friends house with some of our other friends. We made the ice cream Mudd Pie, that Mackenzie likes and that her Grandparents in Boise always make for us. It was delicious, and fun to socialize a bit with some of our friends. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACKENZIE:)

2/3 Of the Way Under the Belt-well just above the belt.

I can't believe I am 6 months(26 weeks) already time is really flying by. The little one will be here before we know it. He is really active these days, and he really likes pushing hard on my bladder. I have my 6 month doctor visit this week and I will be checked for diabetes. So far though I have had a great pregnancy, no complaints, I have been tired a lot and Johnathan will agree I have been a little more moody, but thats about it.

DOUBLE DIGIT'S
It has become apparently clear to me that my wife is pregnant, I came home the other day and she was wearing a dress and even in the dress she looked pregnant. She has in just the last few weeks started, really looking pregnant. She makes a beautiful pregnant woman I must admit. She also has been eating so well and is still working out everyday. We are both so excited for the baby to come. 99 days left till it's due date.
Last night we went car seat and stroller shopping, but walked out the store empty handed. We both suffer from a genetic disease. It's called indecisiveness, there are about 80 different car seats and 200 strollers, how do you chose which one to buy. Don't even talk to us about names. We've decided we'll just let him chose his own name when he is about 3, until then he will called son to us and boy to the rest of you.

The Rest Of the Trip!!
Laguna Beach

Sorry I never did finish the rest of Mackenzie's Parents Trip. On Saturday the weather was not the best(kind of cool, and a little bit drizzly). We took a drive down
to Orange County, we went to Newport and then Laguna Beach, yes from the famed MTV show. It was a nice pretty drive some of those beaches down that way are really pretty.

The Highlight was the Redondo Pier for Dinner. It has become a tradition for us when people come in town, and provided they enjoy seafood, we take them to the Fisherman's wharf for dinner. It is the best, freshest, tastiest seafood. The prices are really good. Pretty much if it's found in the ocean they have it there. You pick out your seafood IE; lobster, clams, fish, crab, oysters, crayfish, shrimp, etc, pay per pound and they cook it for you as you chose, broiled, fried, baked etc. It is really good. I kinda like Oysters but apparently not as much as the Beck's they pounded some delicious oysters for an appetizer and then had a few more for dessert. Mackenzie and I stayed with Clam Chowder and Shrimp Fajita. It is really good and if you come visit we will take you down there. It is fun you eat outside in the harbor, put newspaper down on the picnic table's and enjoy your dinner. It is usually really busy but because it is still technically winter it wasn't very busy at all. Churro's from El Pollo Loco where our dessert in the car on the way home. They are 2 bucks a piece on the pier but 2 for a dollar at the drive thru.
