Monsters

So since the baby is getting close to arrival I have been shopping around for cute clothes, bedding, everything. I have come across these cute dolls called ugly dolls that I really like but they are a bit pricey for what they are. My mother-in-law was in town this week and I took her to show her all the wonderful things I like at a boutique in Manhattan Beach. She took a look at the ugly dolls and said we could make those easily. So we ventured to Joann's picked up some cute fabric and essentials we needed to make the little monsters.(Might I add the blue fabric was only .87 cents) With much MUCH help from my mother-in-law and her old sewing machine that she gave me we completed the cute little things in only a few hours, thanks Gaye. I don't know how much our baby will actually play with them but I am proud of them and I think they are cute.

OU'MA AND OU'PA IN TOWN

My Parents and Genevieve came into town this last weekend it is always fun to have people come and visit. My Dad needed to attend some Computer Training course which luckily happened to be right near our house, so my Mom and Genevieve decided to join him, and share his hoteel Room. We like when people come, because we get to do some fun "touristy" stuff too. We went to Venice Beach, Hollywood, the Getty Museum and Universal Studio's, Long Beach and various Beaches and Piers.Mackenzie,my Mom and Genvieve went down to the Toy District/Textile District to do some bargain shopping. Of course every activity was accompanied by good eating at various eatery's, restaurants and dessert locations. Genevieve leaves tomorrow morning, my Mom Wednesday night and My Dad Friday night. So come and visit. Mackenzie's brother Cade is coming Sunday, for a week and Her oldest Sister Kirsten, husband Tobe and Kids are coming on vacation, to San Diego and Disneyland. We'll be able to meet up with them for a couple of days too. I'm sure after ? arrives in June, we'll have some more visitor's come as well. Our place is small(small as in you can plug in the vacuum cleaner and vacuum the whole house without unplugging it and moving it to another socket small), but we love Manhattan Beach and love living so close to the Beach, yes we go there at least 2-3 times a week, and we enjoy being in the big city with Lot's going on.

Las Vegas

Our Computer, well actually our Internet has been down for a couple of days so sorry we are behind on our blogging. In an attempt to catch up on what has been going on and posting some pictures we'll just add a slide show of some of our Vegas trip pictures. It was a great trip. It was really nice to get spoiled for a few days. We were able to see two shows Jersey Boys, and Love, the Beatles Cirque de Sole show. They were amazing. I think we both preferred the Beatles one the most, but we love the Beatles and their music and that is a definite prerequisite to enjoying the show. We got a massage and Facial, and just enjoyed a few relaxing days.We did have some celeb spotting as well, Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest and Randy "the Dawg" Jackson, Carrot Top, well not a real Celeb and Jennifer Anniston. Also Randy Cature"sp" the UFC Fighter with a really thick neck. They were all at the Wynn Pool. Mackenzie was by far the cutest pregnant lady at the Pool. We spent the one day at the European Pool, tops are optional, I couldn't get Mackenzie to go European though. The plane approach and landing was really rough and I honestly thought we were going down. You know it's bad when the pilot not only puts on the seat belt sign, but rather gets on and says "Folks I do want to warn you, it is extremely gusty over Las Vegas today. Please stay seated, keep your seat belts on. It is going to be extremely bumpy, but I'll do my best to keep it as steady and land safely." Two bumpy minutes pass followed by" Flight attendants I need you seated NOW!"

Almost 7 Months!

Today I am 30 weeks, almost 7 months, but we'll just call it 7. I can't believe he's almost here. I keep thinking it is something that will happen in the future, but the reality is, he will be here in just a few short weeks. We are really excited for his arrival, I can't wait to see him. He has become more and more active especially after I eat treats. I have been feeling well, pregnancy hasn't been too bad at all, other than the frequent trips to the bathroom. The best is yet to come, I know. I am having a baby shower in the beginning of May which I am really ecited for. Beth Ford from our ward is nice enough to plan and throw it for me.

OUCH

Friday afternoon I received a phone call from Johnathan saying he cut his head and might need stitches. He acted like it was no big deal, but I was worried and wanted him to go to the ER. He thought that was a dumb idea and was going to stay in town and go to one of his doctors whose husband shares an office with her and is a surgeon. So he took off and called again about an hour later saying he got 6 stitches one of them below since it was so deep and 5 on top. And was proud to say he has now had over 100 stitches in his life, which I don't think is anything to be proud of.
Apparently what happened he was throwing something in the trash while making an office call, when he bent down to throw it in the trash he hit is head on a broken glass display cabinet right on one of the sharp edges. Ouch!! I would have passed out. Now he is worried how this will effect his scheduled facial at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas this week.
