Labor

(hours before we left to the hosital, one last belly picture)

So its true what everyone says your second baby comes much faster and labor is much easier.
I woke up Tuesday morning with some spotting, knowing what this was I had a feeling I wouldn't make it another night. I went along my day as usual, walked Kieran to the park for park day, chatted with the ladies, came home had lunch.
Johnathan was working from home today I told him how I felt of course he was getting worried asking me often if I had a contraction. I put Kieran down for a nap and went to Trader Joes. While walking around I noticed I was having some contractions. I went home and kept having them very irregular. Johnathan was ready to go the hospital and I kept thinking we should wait, I am fine. We called Kylee our friend telling her to be prepared to come over to watch Kieran soon. Finally my contractions were getting closer together so we decided its time to go. We left our house around 6pm, walked around some shops for a bit, then arrived at the hospital around 8pm. I was 5cm dilated, and I thought we should have waited to come, I am not even feeling that bad. Then soon after we moved to the delivery room were I got my epidural and was already 7cm dilated. I then knew it was good we came in when we did, I am glad I listened to Johnathan since I was progressing so quickly. My doctor came and broke my water, to get things moving along. I started pushing at about midnight and Rhys was born at 12:17am. I couldn't believe it when he was out how good I felt. With Kieran I felt like a train wreck and I never wanted to do this again. Now the second time around I felt great.
I got to hold Rhys right away and keep him with me the whole time which was also a complete different experience than with Kieran.
The gift of life is so amazing, to see a little innocent beautiful child brought into this world, and knowing that you and your spouse created him. There is nothing more perfect than that.

Its the Countdown...

I keep telling Kieran to tell the baby to come out of my belly, and the other night in the bath he put his hands on his belly looked down and said come out baby.

The Car Wash

We take Kieran to the car wash with us frequently and he gets excited the whole way there saying "mom....mom....mom, wash the car" doing a little hand motion. The funny thing is he won't ride through the car wash he gets scared. Now he thinks every garage he sees is a car wash and says wash the car. We thought he would have a good time washing the car at the house, since he likes the idea of a car wash, he loves cleaning, and he loves water. Saturday Johnathan told him we were going to wash the car and he ran to the garage and got out his car, Lightning. The boys washed their cars and I had a good time watching.

EASTER

Since we had the brunch and hunt Saturday it was just the three of us for Easter.

Kieran went searching again for some chocolate and eggs from the bunny.

I think I see something over in the flowers....

Yes a big chocolate bunny.

After the bunny came we went on a little drive and stopped at a park to release some energy out of Kieran and fly his kite.

It started off well, nice breeze, sunny day.

Kieran was getting the hang of things, he was even holding the string himself by his request.(he has to do everything on his own these days he doesn't need any help)

Then he saw me winding it and thought it would be a good idea to help wind the string.

winding, winding, winding.... and this is what happened.

It's cool he had a fun time with dad anyways.

The kids had fun finding all the eggs Kieran just wanted to open them the second he found them and didn't care about finding another.
