Staycation

 A couple weekends ago we had a little staycation.  We drove down to San Predro and had a picnic at Cabrillo Beach.  Then we took a drive down to San Clemente and walked around by the harbor and watched the sail boats and paddle boarders.  After that we got a hotel in Orange County.  They were so excited to stay in a hotel and most of all go swimming.  The next day we stopped at the pier in Huntington Beach and stumbled across some random Pirate Festival which the kids thought was cool,  Kieran of course really wished he had his pirate costume. After we drove back through San Pedro and went "wee" down many hills.  Rhys says 'I want to go wee' when he wants to go fast down a hill in a car, running, or even on a scooter.  Then he puts his hands up and says weeeee the whole way down.  We had a great family time going here and there.  The kids cried when we were headed home they wanted to stay another night in a hotel!
